ベルギーの港町、アントワープにて見つけてきた宝物、リモージュ窯のものになる陶板額です。今までリモージュの作品は数多く見てきましたが、額まで一体になった大型の陶板画は初めての出会いです。　ハンドペイントで装飾がなされた、すばらしい作品です。　画家のサインが陶板の左下に書かれています。湖の岸辺の三人の女性が描かれており、一人は陸から手を振り、二人は岸辺でボートを操り、三人の間に白鳥が水面のなにかをついばむ、といった情景。　落ち着いた色合いと煙るような木々や水がとても静謐な雰囲気をかもし出しています。背面には壁掛け用の紐を通す穴があいており、現在は針金が通されています。この作品には2種類の裏印がおされており、一つは星型の印でCoiffe Limoges社のもの。　質の高い白い磁器を作る工房で、装飾は他社に任せることが多かった工房です。　もう一つの印は、W. Guerin & Coのもの。　この工房が白地の陶板額を買って絵付けをしたもの、と見て間違いないでしょう。裏印からすると1891年から1932年の間に作られた作品。　すばらしい状態の作品で、欠け・キズなどないとても良い作品です。メーカーN/A 種類陶板額デザインN/A 状態Excellent サイズ陶板額35．0x27．0　厚さ2．0リモージュ焼とは、パリから南西に260kmほど離れたフランスのリムーザン地方の古い町、リモージュで作られた陶磁器の総称です。特定の窯の名前ではなくその地域の焼き物をさしこの地方では古くから七宝焼き（リモージュ・エナメル）が作られるなど焼き物作りがなされていました。 18世紀に上質なカオリン（白磁）が近郊で発見されて以来様々な窯が優れた陶磁器を生み出してきました。 19世紀からはアメリカへの輸出も広がりリモージュ陶磁器の名を世界に広めて今日にいたります。
